Mission

PAVE is a synergistic partnership that pools intellectual resources and experience to achieve fundamental goals that a number of U.S. government agencies and others share in common. The mission is to develop a safe and effective HIV vaccine that no single entity or institution is likely to accomplish on its own. PAVE is not a funding organization, and members are expected to support their activities from other governmental or non-governmental sources.

Goals

PAVE's primary goal is to help expedite the development of a safe and effective HIV preventive vaccine. Collaboration with others who share this common goal will enable PAVE Partners to evaluate decisions regarding product development that are based on the science, identify areas where greater efficiencies can be achieved, and use resources more effectively.
